Lighthouse tattoo was born in 2019. After many years of discussion, we finally decided to open our own space tattoo studio in Kings Cross.
Opening the shop was a long process, it took a while to find the right spot and once we did, took even longer to create the tattoo shop we dreamed of.
The need for opening our studio came after many years working in different shops and never feeling really satisfied with what we were doing.
We wanted a nice welcoming studio, where costumer will be happy to be and to come back not only because they wanted to get tattooed, but just because they enjoyed the feeling of being in the shop.
Our main goal is to establish trust with our costumers so that we can really do our best when it comes to create some artwork.
We are always happy to accommodate all our customer requests and create bespoke tattoos.
With an all-round passion for our trade, we do tattoos in all possible styles from simple lettering to the most advanced detailed work.
We are located on 179 Caledonian Road, Islington. Just ten minutes from King's Cross station, a very nice walk by the canal.
We accept either booking or walk in every day

Piercing Aftercare

Initially some bleeding, localised swelling, tenderness and discolour around your piercing. Also you will see some discharge and some crust on your piercing (don’t pick it!)

  • Wash your hands thoroughly prior to cleaning or touching your piercing for any reason.
  • Wash your piercing with antibacterial soap using runny water, cotton buds or cotton pads.
  • Once the area is completely clean, apply a cotton pad soaked with saline water and leave it on your piercing for a minute.
  • Repeat this process 2/3 times a day for 2/3 weeks.

  • Rotating the jewellery through the piercing.
  • Moving it gently back and forth will allow you to clean the jewel in its whole length and that's all you need.
  • Using harsh chemicals. Using products like alcohol is going to be counter productive and will slow down the healing process.
  • Sleeping on your fresh piercing. This can be very irritating for your piercing and can cause some annoying consequences. If you prefer to sleep on your side, you might find helpful a travel pillow and positioning your ear in the gap of the pillow.
  • Swimming and bathing. Swimming pools, lakes and so on are full of bacteria and they'll get very easily into your piercing. •Changing  your piercing too early. Your piercing might look healed on the outside but doesn't mean it's ready to be changed. Wait 8/12 weeks.

Always make sure that the clothes touching your piercing are clean and that there’s no texture where the jewel might be caught.

Your piercing might seem healed before its healing time its completed. This is because the piercing heals from the outside inwards. Do not stop cleaning your piercing after a few days just because seems healed.
